Widget: Automatic parser

Select the pieces of information (one block or many similar blocks) you are interested in in a web page and this widget will display it and update it automatically :

  1. Enter the URL of the web page
  2. Select the information you are interested in on the preview of the page: one block or many blocks of the same type
  3. Check that the widget really selects what you want
  4. Confirm your selection
  5. The widget displays the information you want, and refreshes it automatically every 20 minutes.

The widget tries to select the information you want the most accurately. For this reason, it might select less information than what you want, and you might see the message "No information to display" after the structure of the web page has been updated. In this case, click on configure and select the missing information without reseting the selection. The widget will learn from its mistakes and you should get the right information (if you are unlucky, you might need to reselect the missing information two or three times before it works fine).

Once configured, the widget keeps tracks of the items you have already read to highlight the unread ones. You can too search within the items, and share links with your friends (if you have selected a list of links and if you are in Netvibes Ginger).

Hello, the widget works fine on Opera 10.00 and IE 8 and displays the information. But on FF 3.5.3 don't work, It give me always this message "No information to display. If you think this is an error, click on Configure and select the missing blocks. This widget will learn from its mistakes !"

That's the best widget i've seen yet. Can you make it work for SSL websites? I need to gather info from many pages I visit daily! Thank you

I have added a link in the widget to share the widget with others. It allows you to create very easily your own UWA widget and to share it in your blog, widget directories like this ecosystem... You can directly use this URL too : http://twisterss.free.fr/api_netvibes/parser/parser.html The widget doesn't seem to work well in Safari, I will try to fix it.

Hi, Thanks for your fast reaction !! The SCROLL is there and working ;) It's just a pity that Javascript does not work well with this kind of widgets :( But for the rest is Super Cool.

Hi, could you add a SCROLL UP & DOWN option for very long web pages ? Or perhaps an option for final size of the widget H x W ? I just try to build an major Airport Flight Page with your very good widget. I have problems with Paris CDG ;) Could you help me ?
