hi twisterss, i really like your widget, really useful and suit to my need. if you dont mind i would like to modify your codes, just adding 1 line to the css : font-size: 1.2em; , in the search form section, to make it look bigger. cheers, ignatius.

The widget has been converted to UWA. It has been simplified (no more icons). Now it should work on other platforms than Netvibes too :)

You have to use "%s" and not only "%" at the place where the query should be. For example for google it would be http://www.google.com/?q=%s or something like that.

Hi! I like the idea of this module. I don't think I'm putting the % in the right place because when you type words to search and press enter, a new window opens with the search engine's website but a blank search inquiry. I'm not familiar with using % and the screen shot of the example isn't clear. Help! :-) Thanks

Would you provide the opprtunity of searching "Google Scholar" in this module or even in a seperate module?

For the tiny icon, you can often find it with the name favicon.ico on the root of the website. (you can too find it with google image search) For the keywords, it's a good idea, but I haven't enough time now, I hope I will can do it soon.

Very cool. I'm wondering how take the tiny site icons you get when creating a bookmark in your browser to use for an icon in the search module? Also, is there some way to expand on the tool to allow for keyword trigger searches, much like how Firefox Quick Searches works, i.e., bookmark Google search string, assign bookmark keyword 'g' then search for 'g ***' in address bar? Thanks.

Yes I know, this is a bug in Netvibes. I can't do anything but you can click on "Settings" on top of your Netvibes page and choose "Turn Off" for "Keyboard Navigation"

Gave it a go, briefly, but discovered that it was way too difficult to configure/add search engines. Everything I typed seemed to act as a keyboard shortcut (eg, typing "wikipedia" activated five different shortcuts all by itself).
